How to read the table
Your Besoldungsgruppe is on your pay statement. Each row is monthly basic pay at full-time. This table has no experience stages.
Legal status
The state pay office publishes basic-pay rates from 1 April 2026 and states a linear increase of 2.82%.
On 2 July 2026 the Landtag finance committee agreed to pay that step before the statute was finished, subject to the later law. The bill also names 2.0% from 1 March 2027 and 1.0% from 1 January 2028, plus higher trainee amounts. Those later tables are not included here.
Example: W2
For W2, monthly basic pay from 1st April 2026 is 7,661.18 € at full-time. At 50 % working time that gives 3,830.59 €. Other pay components and taxes are not included in this example.
Who the table applies to
The table shows monthly full-time basic pay for the groups it lists. Which office belongs to which group is decided by the competent office and shown on the pay statement. Tariff employees are paid under their collective agreement, not under this table.
What the table contains
The amounts are monthly full-time basic pay, gross. Family allowance, office, function and other allowances, taxes and contributions are not included.
Part-time
For part-time work the amount is calculated in proportion to the working-time share. For W2 that gives 6,128.94 € at 80 %, 5,745.89 € at 75 % and 3,830.59 € at 50 %. The calculator reduces this table amount only and does not adjust supplements or allowances automatically.
Other pay components
A pay statement contains more than basic pay. Family allowance, office and function allowances and other individual components are not in the table. Neither are deductions such as income tax and health and care insurance contributions. For this table the site shows gross basic pay and does not calculate a net figure.
Annual amount
This page shows monthly amounts, valid from 1st April 2026. Twelve times one monthly amount carries that rate across twelve months. Once the table changes during the year, that product is not the sum of the twelve actual months.
Status of this version

Frequently asked questions
Does the table apply to tariff employees?
No. Tariff employees are paid under a collective agreement such as the TVöD, the TV-L or the TV-H. This table is a Besoldung table for the office assigned to it.
Is the family allowance included?
No. The family allowance sits outside basic pay and is not part of the table values.
Are the amounts gross or net?
They are gross amounts before taxes and contributions. No net figure is calculated for this table.
How do I calculate part-time pay?
Select a table value and enter your working-time share. The amount is then calculated proportionally. Supplements and allowances are not adjusted automatically.
Why is the monthly amount times 12 not always the annual amount?
Because the table can change during the year. Multiplying by twelve carries the month shown here across a full year. That is a projection.
